Two children from Kewstoke Primary School honoured the memory of fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at a remembrance ceremony hosted by the Wessex Learning Trust.

The event on Tuesday, November 11, at the Kings of Wessex school in Cheddar, saw Erika Dmytriichuck and Daniel Webber from Year Six represent their school.

The ceremony included representatives from all schools within the trust.

Each school read out the names of some of the fallen from World War I who were from their parish.

The event included a two-minute silence at 11am.
