Tesco customers in Somerset are being invited to donate toys during the festive season.
The supermarket is inviting people across the county to give new toys to children in need this Christmas through its festive toy donation campaign.
Tesco Superstores in Burnham-on-Sea, Minehead, Taunton, Wells, and Weston-super-Mare are taking part in the scheme.
Tracy Ogden, team manager at Tesco’s Minehead Superstore, said: "We have two nurseries in the town and we wanted to donate to children from early learning onwards and to include their holiday clubs.
"We take pride in supporting our community during the year through Tesco Stronger Starts and our Community Food Connection programme, and this year’s toy donation campaign is a fantastic way for customers to help local families in need."
The campaign runs until Monday, December 15, with customers invited to donate new, unwrapped toys purchased in-store at a dedicated toy donation point.
Other participating stores include Chard, Ilminster, Clevedon, Langport, Shepton Mallet, and the Yeovil Extra.
Claire De Silva, head of communities at Tesco, said: "Our stores are committed to supporting local children and their communities year-round, and thanks to the generosity of our customers and colleagues, the annual toy donation campaign is a wonderful way to make a difference at Christmas.
"It's great to see Tesco’s Somerset stores partnering with local good causes this year to ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas."
