From a Westlife cinema show to an AI-themed comedy performance, there's plenty to enjoy in Taunton over the next week.
A Christmas fayre and a ballet show are also on the agenda.
A Christmas Carol – Ballet Theatre UK
Ballet Theatre UK is bringing A Christmas Carol to Taunton this week.
Charles Dickens’ classic tale, featuring Ebenezer Scrooge and three ghosts, will be performed at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, at 7.30pm.
Tickets range from £15 to £22, with additional online transaction fees, and can be purchased at tacchi-morris.com/ballet-theatre-uk.
The show will last two hours.
The production promises festive carols, artistic direction by Christopher Moore, and a Victorian Christmas setting.
The company, which includes over 20 international dancers, aims to make ballet more accessible, having earned a reputation for high-calibre performances over the last decade.

A new show about writing a sitcom with ChatGPT is coming to Taunton.
AI, AI, Oh… (or how I wrote a hit sitcom with ChatGPT but we’re not talking now) is a 70-minute performance by Perrier Comedy and Fringe First winner Will Adamsdale.
Mr Adamsdale's performance is a new autobiographical show about escape, creativity, and technology.
The performance is scheduled for Friday, November 28, at 7.45pm, at The Brewhouse.
Tickets, which can be purchased at tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk/events/ai-ai-oh are priced at £12, with an age guidance of 12+.
Westlife 25 – Live at the Royal Albert Hall
Westlife will be on the big screen at Odeon Taunton starting this weekend.
The concert film, Westlife 25 – Live at the Royal Albert Hall, features the band performing with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
It marks the start of their 25th anniversary celebrations.
The show was performed during two sold-out performances at the Royal Albert Hall.
Westlife said: "Performing at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra is truly a bucket list moment for us and being able to announce that we are sharing the concert in cinemas makes it even more special."
The film will be shown from Saturday, November 29, with tickets available at westlifeincinemas.com.
St Margaret’s Hospice Christmas Fayre
A Christmas Fayre will be held at St Margaret’s Hospice on Sunday, November 30.
The event will run from 2pm to 5pm at the hospice on Heron Drive and will feature local artisanal stalls, a live brass band, a raffle, a silent auction, and children’s activities.
A festive donkey will be present, and Santa will be available for pre-booked visits, with each child receiving a gift.
Entry is £1 for adults, which includes a ticket to a Christmas hamper draw, while children can attend for free.
Funds raised will support St Margaret’s Hospice in providing specialist care for people with life-limiting illnesses across Somerset.
