A TAUNTON venue has confirmed that an award-winning comic will perform at an upcoming comedy event.
The Taunton Comedy Room, which is held at 61 Bar and Venue, has confirmed a special entry at their next event.

On Wednesday, December 3, BBC New Comedian of the Year 2024 Winner, Paul Hilleard, will headline the free event.
Hosted by “the extremely funny” Tom Evans, Tom, Paul Hilleard, and the rest of the supporting acts will perform until 10pm, with last entry on the door at 7:45pm.
Tickets are available at the door and online – doors open from 7:30 pm with the event starting at 8 pm.
Speaking about the event, a spokesperson for the Taunton Comedy Room said: “We’re re-introducing the format that started it all — midweek new material nights, just like we did in 2019, only this time, in a much more suitable and nicer independent venue.
"Adding to our monthly Pro Comedy Nights, this new series gives comedians space to test fresh ideas and close each show with a great headline act.
"After The Successful launch night on Wednesday 5th November at 61 Bar & Venue — we are back for another relaxed evening of real, working comedy in the perfect home for laughs.
"Our headliner for this Wednesday is none other than BBC New Comedian of the Year 2024 Winner Paul Hilleard.
"Along with a car full of up and coming acts, come join us on Taunton high street for some laughs, Tickets are free."
