A PUB near Taunton, named as being among the top one per cent of restaurants globally, has received a five star food hygiene rating, just after winning a Good Food Award.
The team at the Lethbridge Arms revealed their “winning streak” continues after an unannounced inspection from an environmental health officer (EHO) last week, which resulted in a five star rating.
Within the last few weeks, the pub has also been awarded a Good Food Award and the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Best of the Best Award.

Owner and operator Sarah Snowden has said that the five star rating was “never in doubt” but that, regardless, she is still really proud of her team.
She said: “We’ve just had an EHO visit and scored five. Never in doubt but proud nonetheless.”
As a reward, Sarah took out her team for a celebratory meal at Taunton’s Ghurka 3 to reflect on this year’s achievements.
She said she will also be taking her team out early in the New Year to continue the celebrations in 2026 and set the year off with a bang.
Sarah added: “The Lethbridge Arms will be closed from Christmas Day until January 5 2026, for the team to relax and enjoy this important break with their friends and families, so book your festive celebrations soon to avoid disappointment.”
