Primary school pupils impressed councillors during a recent school visit.
The performance took place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School in Wincanton, where local councillors Lucy Trimnell and Tom Power were invited to enjoy the festive showcase and take a tour of the school this term.
The visit began with a tour led by pupil chaplaincy members Crystal and Ollie, who highlighted school activities and achievements before the councillors attended the school’s Christmas music concert.

Councillor Trimnell also watched a performance of the nativity, Hey Ewe!, and praised the pupils afterwards.
She said: "I just wanted to thank you both for inviting me to the nativity today.
"I really enjoyed the show and thought the children were marvellous and incredibly confident."
Danuta Girton and Sheila Loftus, headteachers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, said: "We were thrilled to welcome Councillors Trimnell and Power to our school.
"It was wonderful to share our pupils’ festive performances and celebrate their confidence, creativity, and dedication with the wider community.
"Their joy and enthusiasm truly lit up the school this Christmas."
The school is part of the Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust.
Helen Taylor, CEO of the Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust, said: "Seeing our pupils shine during their Christmas performances is a proud moment for the whole Trust.
"Visits like this highlight the importance of community connections and the positive impact of nurturing talent, confidence, and creativity from a young age."
