New speed indicator devices have been installed in Wiveliscombe to help tackle speeding and improve road safety.

The signs, funded by a grant from the Avon and Somerset Police Community Trust and set up by the town council, have been placed along the B3227 between Taunton and Bampton.

Charlotte Stus, Speedwatch co-ordinator, said: "They were easy to install and will definitely reduce speeding in Wivey.

"They very clearly show drivers whether they are speedingand this will help them to comply with speed restrictions and keep other road users and Wivey public safe"

The grant comes off the back of news that Somerset Council will soon be installing two new posts in Langley.

Once installed, the speed devices will then be swapped around the four locations.
