A THATCHED Somerset pub is under new ownership - but needs a manager for the doors to open once again.
The Masons Arms in Williton, less than a 30-minute drive from Taunton, has been described as a "highly regarded" and "extremely well presented quintessential" thatched village pub that is "undoubtedly a very special place in which to live and work".
Previously run by Simon James and his partner Aimee Trigell, the pub comes with a main bar area (can fit 30+ people), dining area (22), restaurant (26+), and a well-equipped commercial catering kitchen.

The 16th-century Grade II listed building is steeped in history, and has a beautiful thatched roof as well as retaining many of its other traditional features.
Listed for £650,000 back in 2024, the pub has recently been purchased by businessman Michael Burgess, who is hoping that someone manages the freehold under his ownership, stating that the pub is "ready to be taken over and loved".
Mr Burgess said: "I have a pub in Taunton, Somerset. Lovely country pub. With a separate five bed dwelling for Airbnb.
"Ideally, [I am] looking for someone to take over the lease. But would consider selling for the right price.
"The pub has only recently been purchased. We had someone who was due to take over the lease, but due to their circumstances, this has fallen through.
