A new charity partnership is aiming to make a difference for children and families across Somerset.
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) has been named the latest charity partner of Bristol Airport, kicking off a two-year collaboration to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The partnership will see airport staff join together to raise funds and awareness for CHSW, which operates three hospices across the South West and offers respite, specialist care, and a 'home-from-home' environment for children and their loved ones.
Phil Morris, chief executive of CHSW, said: "Our partnership with Bristol Airport will make a real and lasting difference to the children and families we care for.
"Their two-year commitment provides vital support that will help us deliver compassionate, specialist care during some of the most challenging moments a family can face.
"We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and proud to work together to raise the awareness and essential funds needed to ensure we are there for children and families when they need us most."
Bristol Airport plans to support CHSW through a wide range of fundraising activities, employee engagement schemes, and awareness campaigns across the airport.
The funds raised will help the charity continue delivering essential support to babies, children, and young people, as well as their families.

In its previous two-year partnership with the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, the airport raised more than £210,000 through events including long-distance bike rides, a runway run, golf days, and plane-spotting activities.
Since launching its Charity Partner programme, Bristol Airport has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local causes, supporting community projects and vital services across the region.
