AN ACTOR who grew to fame after appearing in Doctor Who and Sarah Jane Adventures is set to appear in Taunton.
Tommy Knight, now 33, is heading to an upcoming Taunton Comic Con event held at Wellsprings Leisure Centre on Sunday, April 19.
The venue has held popular comic con events in the past, which featured appearances from pop culture dressed icons like Darth Vader and stormtroopers.

Organised by Creed Conventions, this event is set to be a "super fun" day out with appearances from TV and film stars of the Sci-fi genre.
Tommy joins a growing list of media guests who also appeared in the BBC's Doctor Who series, including Colin Spaull and David Gooderson.
Fans of the show will recognise these actors for their roles as 'Mr. Crane' and latterly 'Davros' in the classic Doctor Who episode.
Colin Spaull also appeared in Great Expectations, The Inbetweeners and Crossroads.
Starting from £6.23, tickets are available now and can be purchased online. Taunton Comic Con tickets.
An organiser for the event said: "Tommy Knight is joining us for Taunton Comic Con.
"Tommy is best known as playing Luke Smith, Sarah Jane's son in The Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who. He's also appeared in Waterloo Road, Victoria and Glue."
A full media guest list is yet to be revealed, with the event promising celebrity guests, collectables, free activities and more.
