First Bus has announced all of the timetable changes that will be coming from April.

Changes will be in effect from Sunday, April 5, with the bus operator adding new bus routes and changing departure times and the frequency of some routes.

First Bus said that the changes 'are designed to improve punctuality and create a more reliable network for our customers'.

The routes that will be changing in Somerset are:

  • Service 126 from Wells to Weston-super-Mare will now serve Weston Railway Station, as well as some minor changes to the timetable.
  • Service 374 from Bristol to Wells/ Wells-Taunton will have a new timetable to 'improve punctuality', with changes to departure times on all days of operation. This service will have 'more significant' changes to departure times from Taunton.
  • Services 375, 376, 376a and 376x, which all go from Bristol to Wells and then to either Bridgwater or Yeovil, will also have a new timetable from April.

The 20 service, which goes from Weston-super-Mare to Burnham-on-Sea, will have its usual summer season uplift, with the Monday to Saturday frequency increased from every 70 minutes to every 35 minutes.

The Sunday service will also resume for the summer, operating every 65-70 minutes, with the last Sunday of operation in 2026 being November 1.

Finally, the X21 service, which goes from Bridgwater, through Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare and to Puxton Park, will now start from the Magistrates Court stop, rather than the stop at Angel Place Shopping Centre.

Any services not listed will remain unchanged and operate as normal, with upcoming timetables including the changes able to be viewed on the First Bus website.
