Hairspray
An adaptation of a Tony Award-winning musical is coming to Taunton.
Hairspray will open at the Queen's Hall Theatre on Thursday, March 5, at 7pm, with additional performances on Friday, March 6, Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, with the latter starting at 3pm.
Set in 1960s Baltimore, the story follows Tracy Turnblad as she pursues her big dreams to dance with everyone, regardless of colours or creed.
The show is suitable for ages seven and above and follows productions of Les Misérables, Shrek!, and Chicago.

Alasdair Beckett-King: King of Crumbs
Alasdair Beckett-King is bringing his stand-up show, King of Crumbs, to Taunton this week.
The comedian will take the stage at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on Thursday, March 5, at 8pm.
The performance is set to run for one hour and 40 minutes, including an interval.
Tickets are priced at £21, with a £2.95 booking fee per transaction for online bookings.

BrewHaHa Comedy Night
A Taunton venue is gearing up for a comedy night this week.
The Brewhouse is inviting audiences to the latest BrewHaHa Comedy Night, set for Friday, March 6.
The evening will showcase three emerging comedians.
Luke Honnoraty, a familiar face across the UK known for his lively crowd interactions and observational humour, is the new MC.
He was Katherine Ryan’s choice for the South West support for her UK tour in 2014, and has more recently been supporting artists such as Russell Kane.
The show starts at 7.45pm and will last 120 minutes.

80s Disco Night
A Taunton venue is set to host an 80s-themed disco night.
The event at the Creative Innovation Centre CIC will take place on Friday, March 6, from 7pm to 11pm, with tickets available at creativeinnovationcentre.co.uk/dance/80s-disco-night-fri-6th-mar.
The centre director, Andrew Knutt, will be DJing for the event, which will be a fundraiser for the centre.
It will feature a range of songs from artists such as Wham!, Duran Duran, Elton John, ABBA, Rick Astley, and more.
Advance tickets cost £10, or £13 on the door.
