A celebrated comedian and author will deliver her latest stage show in Bridgwater this month.
Cally Beaton, known for her appearances on QI and Live at the Apollo, will perform Namaste Motherf*ckers at Bridgwater’s McMillan Theatre on Friday, March 20.

The show is inspired by her Sunday Times top 10 bestselling debut book, described as "a funny, empowering, practical book that is part memoir and part stereotype-defying manifesto."
Ms Beaton said: "Being a woman in midlife isn’t redemptive – it is full of pain and loss, of sweat and tears, and above all it isn’t one-size-fits-all.
"I’m still working on my happy ending but would rather be living my own imperfect story than someone else’s perfect one.
"My book encourages others to be the narrators of their own messy stories.
"Finding our voices has for many of us been hard-won; we may as well get out of our own way and use them."
Namaste Motherf*ckers takes a candid and often irreverent look at Beaton’s own midlife transformation from corporate executive to stand-up comedian.
The journey began with a conversation with the late Joan Rivers.
At the time, Ms Beaton was working as senior vice president at ViacomCBS, overseeing major brands including Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, and Paramount.
Inspired by Ms Rivers, she first took to the comedy stage at 45 and debuted on BBC’s Live at the Apollo at 53.
Her television credits include regular appearances on BBC Two’s QI, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Countdown’s Dictionary Corner, Richard Osman’s House of Games, and Pointless Celebrities.
She is also well known to BBC Radio 4 listeners through programmes such as The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth, Saturday Live, Museum of Curiosity, PM, and Woman’s Hour.
In 2021, Beaton launched her podcast Namaste Motherf*ckers, which blends humour, work, and wellbeing.
The podcast has featured guests such as Miriam Margolyes, Paloma Faith, Sir Grayson Perry, Sally Phillips, Deborah Meaden, Omid Djalili, Susie Dent, Esther Rantzen, and Reverend Richard Coles.
