A community football match in Wellington has helped raise funds and awareness for mental health.
Mind in Somerset teamed up with Wellington AFC at their home game against Bradford Town on Saturday, March 7, to run a bucket collection and promote mental health support services across the county.
The charity was at the Carly Press Ground before and during the match, allowing supporters to donate and learn more about the services Mind in Somerset provides to people experiencing mental health challenges.
Alison Baker from Mind in Somerset said: "We collected nearly £100 and are very grateful to Wellington AFC for supporting us and helping to raise awareness around mental health.
"Football clubs play such an important role in their communities, and opportunities like this help us start conversations, reduce stigma, and let people know that support is available – as well as raising much-needed funds."
Ms Baker also thanked the club and supporters from both sides for their generosity and backing.
