A variety of events are set to take place in south and east Somerset over the next week.
Frome
Bingo Night
A bingo night is set to take place at the Assembly Rooms in Frome.
The event is planned for Friday, March 20, and will support the Memorial Theatre's restoration fund.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the bingo starting at 7.30pm.
Attendees must pay a £1 entry fee, and tickets, as well as raffle opportunities, will be available at the venue.
The evening will offer a variety of prizes, including cash.
Marcus Bristocke: Vitruvian Mango
Comedian Marcus Brigstocke is set to bring his latest show to Frome this weekend.
The stand-up will appear at Merlin Theatre on Saturday, March 21, at 7.30pm, as part of his Vitruvian Mango tour.
Mr Brigstocke’s new material explores the role of men in a world where physical strength and chivalry are less relevant.
He promises the show will settle "the entire issue once and for all."
Quotes from national newspapers describe the show as "charming" and "hilarious."
Tickets cost £18 and the performance carries a strict age limit of 14 plus, due to strong language and adult content.

Shepton Mallet
The Bath & West Food & Drink Festival
A food and drink festival in Shepton Mallet will feature the British Cheese Awards this weekend.
The Bath & West Food & Drink Festival, new for 2026, will take place from Friday, March 20, to Sunday, March 22, at the Showground.
The British Cheese Awards, with judging set for Friday, will take place in the main hall, with visitors able to view and taste award-winning cheeses.
Food and drink stands will showcase produce from the south west of England.
The event will also feature a Kids Zone and a bierkeller-style area celebrating beer.
Gates open at 10am, with advance tickets starting at £6 in advance for adults.

Duruflé Requiem and Haydn Nelson Mass
The Wells Cathedral Oratorio Society is set to perform pieces by Duruflé and Haydn this weekend.
The concert, on Saturday, March 21, will feature Duruflé's Requiem, celebrated for its uplifting and consoling choral harmonies.
In contrast, Haydn's Nelson Mass, known for its vibrant orchestral colour, will also be showcased.
The Nelson Mass, officially Missa in Angustiis, was composed during a turbulent period in European history and is recognised for its emotionally charged brilliance.
This event, spanning two-and-a-half hours, starts at 7pm.

Wincanton
Afternoon Racing
A race relocated from Sandown will feature in Wincanton's upcoming spring meeting.
The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Military Amateur Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle Race will now be held at Wincanton Racecourse on Monday, March 23, after Sandown's Grand Military Gold Cup Day was abandoned.
Gates open at 12.45pm and there are seven races scheduled from 2.15pm to 5.32pm.
A bus leaves Templecombe at 12.30pm and returns at 6pm.
The event features live jump racing, food and drink, with under-18s admitted for free.

YAOS: Fiddler on the Roof
A production of Fiddler on the Roof is playing in Yeovil this weekend.
The musical classic, performed by the Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society, recently opened at Westlands Ballroom and will run on Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 21.
Performances will start at 7.30pm, with an additional matinee performance on the Saturday.
The story revolves around Tevye, a Jewish milkman in the village of Anatevka in 1905, as he navigates changing traditions for his daughters.
The show promises various well-loved songs, including If I Were a Rich Man, Tradition, and Matchmaker.
