Shepton Mallet

Young Driver

Driving lessons for children as young as nine are coming to Somerset this weekend.

The safety initiative is by Young Driver, an under-17s driving school, which is hosting the lessons at The Bath & West Showground on Saturday, March 28.

The lessons, starting from £46.99, aim to reduce the number of on-road lessons needed later and increase test pass chances.

The showground will feature roundabouts, junctions, parking zones, and manoeuvring areas for the lessons.

The experience also helps boost confidence and is reported to reduce accidents by 80 per cent when pupils take to the real roads.

The event will begin at 9.30am, with more information available at bathandwestshowground.com/events/young-driver-mar-28-2.
