A new antiques and flea market is set to launch in Taunton next month.

The Taunton Flea Market & Antique Fair will take place at Taunton Racecourse, featuring collectables, vintage items, and retro treasures in a countryside setting.

It will be held on the second Sunday of each month from April to October.

The event is the result of a lifelong interest in antiques by organiser Louise Morgan, with the help of team member Jordan.

Louise said: "This has come from something quite personal to me.

"I used to love going to antique fairs with my grandad as a child.

"With Jordan also sharing that same passion, we wanted to create something that brings that feeling to Taunton, where people can enjoy a proper Sunday morning out and discover something special."

The market will have a dedicated field at the racecourse, running alongside the weekly car boot sale, which will take place in a separate field.

For more information or to reserve a pitch, visit tauntonflea.com.

Early trade entry is available from 7.30am at a cost of £25 per car, while general public entry begins at 10.30am for £2 per person.

Traders are welcome to attend without prior booking, with pitches priced at £25 and setup from 7am on the day.

The only exception to the regular schedule is the July event, which will be held on the first Sunday.

Food and drink will also be available.
