Ray Bubbles: The Ultimate Bubbles Show
A world record holder is hosting a bubble-making show in Frome this week.
Ray Bubbles is set to display his bubble-making talents at the Merlin Theatre at noon on Friday, April 10.
The Guinness World Record holder aims to create the ultimate square bubble during the show.
Mr Bubbles will use a variety of gases to produce effects and displays, including a volcano bubble, a soap bubble carousel, and a tornado inside a bubble.
His performance is inspired by his work with SEND schools, adult neurodivergent groups, and science centres across Europe.
Tickets are priced at £12, with concessions available for £10.

Wham!Duran
A 1980s nostalgia tribute act is heading to Frome this weekend.
Wham!Duran, which covers hits by Wham! and Duran Duran, is set to perform at Cheese & Grain on Saturday, April 11.
The band has been performing for more than 30 years, recreating classics such as Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Club Tropicana, I’m Your Man, Girls On Film, Rio, and Hungry Like the Wolf.
The show is set to start at 7pm, with support from Love Is Enough.
All tickets are for standing only and cost £17.50 in advance, plus a booking fee.

Adam Frost
Award-winning garden designer and Gardeners' World presenter Adam Frost is coming to Frome.
He will take to the stage at the Frome Memorial Theatre on Saturday, April 11, at 7.30pm, delivering a show brimming with personal tales and gardening insights.
Mr Frost will share stories from his international experiences, including curating a garden in Japan during a monsoon, and offer a glimpse into his life since the pandemic.
The show highlights gardening's impact on his family and well-being, bringing together anecdotes and reflections.

The Big Southwest Wedding Fair
Couples can book, try, hire, or buy everything they need for a wedding at an event in Shepton Mallet this week.
The Big Southwest Wedding Fair brings together 80 wedding professionals at Bath and West Showground, on Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm each day.
Attendees can expect twice-daily catwalk shows at 11am and 1.30pm, showcasing dresses and suits on both days.
There will also be an entertainment lounge with game stations, and inspiration areas featuring reception layouts and centrepieces.
VIP tickets include access to an exclusive VIP area and seating at the catwalk.

Medieval Falconry Day
Falcons will swoop over the historic grounds of The Bishop’s Palace during its Medieval Falconry Day on Saturday, April 11.
The family-friendly event, running from 9.30am to 5.30pm, will feature flying displays at 11am and 3pm.
Tony, from Raptorcare, will illustrate how the birds would have been used in Medieval times.
He will be available at his medieval tent to answer questions between displays.
The event is included with palace entry, meaning visitors can also explore 14 acres of gardens, the Dragon’s Lair play area and The Bishop’s Table Café.

Wincanton
WinOlympics Family Raceday
A family day at Wincanton racecourse will feature races and free entertainment.
The WinOlympics Raceday on Sunday, April 12, runs from 12.10pm to 5.30pm and features both horse racing and a range of free activities.
Entertainment includes a giant bouncy castle, climbing wall, Velcro dart football, didi car race track, surf simulator, Total Wipeout, space hoppers, and an arts and crafts station.
The event also features eight scheduled races.
A bus service will be running from Templecombe at 12.50pm and returning at 6pm.
