'National treasure' set to perform show in Taunton

A PERFORMER described as a "national treasure" will perform in Taunton.

Comedian and impressionist, Rory Bremner, is headlining a comedy night, 'Rory Bremner and Guests', at the Taunton Brewhouse this summer.

On Saturday, July 25, Bremner will be entertaining people with his award-winning brand of humour - which includes satirical gags and impressions of Prime Ministers and Presidents, both past and present.

In a TV career spanning more than 30 years, Rory has won numerous awards, including three BAFTAs for his long-running Channel 4 satire series Bremner, Bird & Fortune, featuring Rory and the two Johns.

He has appeared on many other comedy shows (Whose Line Is It Anyway, Spitting Image, Have I Got News for You and Mock the Week, where he was team captain for two series) He was a regular guest on both Wogan and Parkinson and has frequently appeared on Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show, Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News and his own shows, Tonight and Bremner’s One Question Quiz.
