A former high-street bank in Taunton is set to go to auction.

The former TSB bank, located on 34 North Street, closed in April 2022 due to a 'significant decrease in branch use', alongside branches in Bath, Yeovil and Weston-super-Mare.

The property is now going up for auction, with estate agent Greenslade Taylor Hunt putting the property on the market.

It is described as a 'handsome Grade II Listed commercial property spread over ground, first and second floors with rear enclosed yard/garden.'

The former bank offers a sales area, staff amenities and ancillary offices on the ground floor, with the first and second floors having offices, storage and staff amenities.

In the brochure, Greenslade Taylor Hunt said: "The accommodation at ground floor level provides an open plan sales area with access directly from North Street.

"Towards the rear are offices, a kitchen and a WC block.

"There is also access to the enclosed rear yard. Access to the first and second floors is to the north side of the retail frontage and provides an open plan office, further cellular offices, stores, a kitchen and WC block."

It will be sold via public auction on Wednesday, May 20, at Aldwick Estate, Redhill, Blagdon, Bristol and has a guide price of £225,000.
