HERE are some of the latest Taunton and wider Somerset offenders who have appeared in Taunton, North Somerset and Yeovil Magistrates’ Courts.
Oliver Ager, 33, of East Reach, Taunton, pleaded guilty to committing an act outraging public decency by urinating in public in Taunton on May 9 2026.
Ager was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a surcharge of £80 and a fine of £200.
Robert Crabbe, 68, of Stoke St. Gregory, Taunton, pleaded guilty to drink driving along the A358 at Henlade on February 27, 2026.
Crabbe was sentenced to serve a community order.
He must undergo alcohol treatment for six months, complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and is disqualified from driving for 24 months, with a disqualification reduction period of 24 weeks.
Crabbe was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a fine of £552 and a surcharge of £114.
Michael Webber-Griffiths, 28, of Minehead, pleaded guilty to driving a grey Ford Ranger, down The Parks, Minehead, when the truck had ‘significant damage’ to the front nearside wheel, caused sparks and grooves in the road, and could have caused injury on October 15, 2025.
Webber- Griffiths was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a surcharge of £61 and a fine of £153.
He was also given three points on his driving licence.

Here are some of the latest Somerset offenders in Magistrates' Court
Man given suspended sentence for strangulation of child
Aigars Strautis, 63, of no fixed abode, Bridgwater, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Huntworth Business Park, Bridgwater, at the Junction 24 service station on the M5 on April 18, 2025.
They also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Taunton Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on July 14, 2025.
Strautis was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a surcharge of £65 and a fine of £162.
Lee Clothier, 35, of Lyde Road, Yeovil, pleaded guilty to stealing coffee items to the value of £34.16 from Costcutter, Yeovil and for breaching a criminal behaviour order by placing items from a shop into a bag before paying on March 30, 2026.
Clothier also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on or about May 12, 2026, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings in Bridgwater on March 30, 2026.
Clothier was ordered to pay £85 in costs, and a fine of £240.
Steffan Ayres, 51, of Fore Street, Chard, was found guilty of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words/disorderly behaviour with intent to cause the victim harassment, alarm or distress in Taunton on February 8, 2026.
Ayres was ordered to pay £300 in compensation and a fine of £180.
