HERE are some of the latest Taunton offenders who have appeared in Taunton Magistrates’ Court.
Josh Thorne, 19, of Cheddon Fitzpaine, Taunton, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle on Staplegrove Road having taken a drug, namely Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, without a licence and without insurance on December 14 2025.
Thorne was given an obligatory disqualification from driving for a period of 12 months.
He was ordered to pay a fine of £240, a surcharge of £48 and £85 in costs.
Enya Pearce, 30, of Moorland Road, Taunton, pleaded guilty to driving a blue Vauxhall Astra down Wellington Road without due care and attention on October 22 2025.
Pearce also pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle, when the windscreen was not maintained and their vision was obscured.
Pearce was given five penalty points for this offence and ordered to pay £85 in costs, a surcharge of £113, and a fine of £283.

Dawn Hudson, 41, Creech St Michael, Taunton, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle on the M4 Junction 19 Eastbound in South Gloucestershire at 63mph in a temporary 50mph zone on October 14 2025.
Hudson was also given a driving disqualification for a period of six months and handed three penalty points.
Hudson was ordered to pay a fine of £40 and £120 in costs.
Geoffrey Cackett, 45, of Leslie Avenue, Taunton, pleaded guilty to driving a blue Citroen Berlingo down Lyndale Avenue, Bridgwater, while under the influence of drugs.
Cackett was ordered to pay £85, a surcharge of £48, and a fine of £120.
Cackett is also disqualified from driving for three years.
