A POPULAR Somerset café has announced it will be closing its doors for good this month, bringing an end to years of serving the local community.
Toddys Café on the Parade, Minehead, confirmed the news in a message to customers, saying the decision had not been taken lightly as staff prepare to say goodbye in June.
In a statement posted via social media, the café said: “We would like to let our wonderful customers know that Toddys Cafe will be closing its doors in June.
“We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your continued support, loyalty, and friendship over the years.
"Whether you stopped by for your morning coffee, enjoyed lunch with friends, or simply shared a smile with our team, you have been a valued part of our journey.”

The café has been a familiar spot for locals and visitors alike, known for its welcoming atmosphere and regulars who made it part of their daily routine.
Staff added they were “incredibly grateful” for the memories created over the years and the support received from the community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the memories we've made and the community we've been fortunate to serve. Your support has meant the world to us,” the statement continued.
Customers are being encouraged to visit throughout the final weeks as the business prepares to close.
“Please join us throughout June as we celebrate the final chapter of Toddys Cafe together. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces before we close,” the team said.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything.”
