A variety of events are set to take place in and around Taunton over the next week.
County Championship: Somerset vs Warwickshire – Festival of Red Ball Cricket
Somerset will be hosting their annual Festival of Red Ball Cricket during its latest Rothesay County Championship fixture against Warwickshire this week.
The match is scheduled to run from Friday, June 19, to Monday, June 22, at the Cooper Associates County Ground, with play set to start at 11am daily.
The festival will champion the "quintessential format of the game," according to the club, with activities planned at various locations throughout the match.
Ticket prices will increase on the day of the match, with advance tickets available at tickets.somersetcountycc.co.uk/content.
Stand Up for Cider – Heat Three
Up-and-coming comedians will compete at a Taunton comedy night this week.
Stand Up for Cider is returning for its third heat at the Creative Innovation Centre on Friday, June 19.
Now in its 11th year, the competition sees eight to 10 rising comedy acts take to the stage alongside a professional MC and a headline comedian, with the audience choosing the winner.

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
Taunton Good Afternoon Choir
Organist Miles Quick will be the special guest at the Good Afternoon Choir's upcoming concert.
Mr Quick, director of music at Taunton Minster since 2012, will join the choir at Temple Methodist Church on Saturday, June 20, at 7.30pm.
The concert will feature a retiring collection for Besom Taunton, a Christian organisation that provides a bridge between those who want to give and those who are in need in the Taunton and Wellington area.

The Taunton Good Afternoon Choir meets every Tuesday, from 2-4pm, at Temple Methodist Church, and is always welcoming new members.
CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation
An award-winning improvisation comedy show is taking to the stage at The Brewhouse this weekend.
CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation will be performed on Saturday, June 20, at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the hour-long show, which can be purchased at tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk/events/csi-crime-scene-improvisation, are listed at £19 each.
Audience members will suggest a murder scenario, which the performers will then solve in a unique, fully-improvised show.
The interactive 'whodunnit' show has been performed for more than ten years and has won multiple awards, including the comedy award at Colchester Fringe in 2024 and best improv/musical at Leicester Comedy Festival in 2023.
The performance is recommended for those aged 12 and above.
