A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Somerset yesterday (Sunday, July 19).
Avon and Somerset Police are currently appealing for witnesses, dashcam footage and information following the collision on Old Wells Road near Leigh-on-Mendip.
The collision was reported to police at 2pm on Sunday, July 19 and involved a white motorbike and a grey car.
The rider of the motorcycle, a woman in her forties, was taken to hospital by air ambulance, police confirmed.
Her next of kin has been informed.

The occupants of the car did not require hospital treatment.
Officers have spoken to the driver, and there have been no arrests made, police have confirmed.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We're still carrying out our investigations at the scene.
