AN air ambulance was called, and a person was taken to the hospital following an incident in Chard over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Chard at 7.43pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Multiple South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) ambulance crews attended the scene, including an air ambulance.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 7.43pm on Saturday 18 July to an incident in Chard.
"We sent three double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, two operations officers, and a critical care car to the scene.
"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
