Taunton Bath Place entrance reopened with brand-new look
Bath Place is one of Taunton's most distinctive shopping locations, home to a collection of independent businesses tucked away beneath its covered walkway. Over the years it has become a familiar landmark for generations of shoppers exploring the town centre.
The makeover comes several years after concerns were raised about the condition of the High Street entrance to Bath Place.
In 2025, the entrance was temporarily closed while safety work was carried out after parts of the structure were found to require repair.
The newly painted exterior now presents a noticeably brighter appearance, with the pale green frontage complementing Riverside House's shopfront and helping to draw attention to the entrance from the High Street.
Reaction online has been positive, with many residents praising the refreshed look and welcoming the investment in a prominent part of Taunton town centre.
Whether shoppers love it or loathe it, the makeover has certainly ensured one of Taunton's most photographed corners is turning heads once again.
