A SOMERSET town council has issued fresh warnings about fire safety and water use during the drought following a recent major fire.
Wellington Town Council has urged people to take extra care after a recent fire at Fox’s Field a couple of weeks ago.
This accompanies the release of new drone photos taken of the field.
A spokesperson for Wellington Town Council said: "What these images show is the extent and severity of this drought.
"The effects of the fire in Fox's Field a couple of weeks ago are clear to see; a sizeable area burned."

Following Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service advice, the town council strongly advises residents against lighting fires, using disposable barbecues or starting campfires.
People are also reminded not to discard cigarettes or matches on dry grass.
People are urged to report fires to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service early by calling 999.
Wellington Town Council has also called on residents to use water wisely and to follow advice given by Wessex Water.
