A new housing development has officially launched near Taunton, offering a fresh opportunity for homebuyers in the area.

Located off Dene Road in Cotford St Luke, the development by Lovell Homes is called The Oaks at St Luke and features a selection of two, three, and four-bedroom homes designed to suit first-time buyers, professionals, families, and those looking to move up the property ladder.

An off-plan launch event took place in August, giving prospective buyers their first look at the site and a chance to meet the sales team.

Suzie Hewitt, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: "Our off-plan launch event at The Oaks at St Luke was a great success.

"We’d already received high levels of interest in the development, so it was a real delight to welcome so many home seekers to The Oaks at St Luke and help them find a home that ticks all the right boxes, with one buyer even reserving their new home on the day.

"We’re so excited that the first range of high-quality homes are now available for local homebuyers to enquire about and are looking forward to launching our two show homes this autumn."

Homes are now available to purchase off-plan, with prices starting at £270,000 for the two-bedroom Kingfisher style.

Three-bedroom homes start at £329,000, while four-bedroom properties are available from £425,000.

One of the featured homes is the Newbury, a three-bedroom detached property priced from £360,000.

The Newbury includes an entrance hall, a spacious living room, and an open-plan kitchen/dining area with French doors leading to the garden.

The ground floor also features a cloakroom and storage cupboard.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.

The main bedroom includes an en suite and additional storage.

Buyers who purchase off-plan can personalise their homes through Lovell Homes’ Inspirations range, subject to the build stage.

Cotford St Luke is described as a peaceful village rich in history, located close to Taunton, Wellington, and the M5 motorway.

The area also offers easy access to outdoor attractions such as Wimbleball Lake and Exmoor National Park, both less than 17 miles away.

Wimbleball Lake is a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site, and Exmoor National Park is Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve, offering residents the chance to enjoy stargazing and the beauty of the natural world.
