- Drivers are advised to be aware that severe delays have been reported on the M5 Southbound in Somerset. The current average speed 15 mph.
- The M5 will be closed in both directions today between J22 and J23 due to National Grid attending to a dangerous low-hanging overhead power cable.
- The closure starts at around 2.30pm or 3pm, and will be in place for approx 1 hr.
- The A38 will be the diversion route.
- The M5 has reopened between J22 and J23; however, delays of up to 83 minutes remain.
