A NEW garage has opened in Taunton, roughly a year after work began on demolishing a former Volvo outlet that has been vacant since 2018.

Customers can now visit Formula One Autocentres on Priory Bridge Road after it opened for the first time on Thursday, September 3.

First established in 1969, Formula One Autocentres currently operates more than 170 branches across the UK, making it one of the country's largest independently owned autocentre chains.

The new Taunton branch marks Formula One Autocentres' South West network of more than 20 locations. Documents submitted on behalf of Rowcliffe Holdings Ltd and Vertu Motors Ltd show the business will open seven days a week.

The development includes 11 parking spaces and four cycle bays.

Customers can get opening offers at the new Taunton garage, including 25% off car servicing, MOTs from £35, up to 20% off tyres and more.

A spokesperson for the garage said: "We're now open in Taunton.

"Our brand-new Formula One Autocentres branch has officially opened its doors.

"Come and meet the team and discover our launch offers.

"We look forward to welcoming you."

The new branch adds to Formula One Autocentres' growing national network and provides motorists in Taunton with another option for servicing, repairs and MOTs.
