SHOPPERS at Clarks Village will soon see one of its biggest stores closed as part of a move.

A spokesperson for Clarks Village has confirmed that the huge Next store is due to close to the public on October 17.

However, the closure is not expected to be permanent, with the fashion and homeware chain currently planning a return to the Somerset shopping destination in a different location.

A spokesperson for Clarks Village said: "I've confirmed with the team that the current Next store is due to close to the public on 17 October; however, it's currently positioned to return to Clarks Village at a new location in Spring 2027."

The outlet centre has not yet revealed where the new store will be located or whether the move will involve a larger retail space.

Next is one of the UK's largest clothing and home retailers and has long been a popular destination for bargain hunters visiting Clarks Village in Street.

The temporary closure will leave shoppers without a Next outlet at the centre for several months while plans progress for its return.

Clarks Village has continued to attract major high street and designer brands in recent years and the return of Next in spring 2027 is expected to maintain its presence as one of the outlet centre's anchor retailers.

Further details about the relocation and opening date are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
