A TAUNTON man has been sentenced at Magistrates’ Court for making more than 1,400 indecent images of children as young as five years old in Chard.
David White, 65, of Taunton, Somerset, appeared in Taunton Magistrates’ Court on September 17 of this year.
White admitted to making 82 Category A images, 264 Category B images and 1,109 Category C images of children on or before August 28 in 2022.
According to the court listings, the images depicted children as young as five to six years old up to teenagers.

White has been given a total custodial sentence of 52 weeks, suspended by 15 months, is subject to a sexual harm prevention order lasting until 2033 and notification requirements to register with the police at Bridgwater Police Centre for 10 years.
White has been ordered to complete 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days, pay £60 in costs, a surcharge of £187.
The court also ordered the deprivation of White’s property.
