Last week, Donald Trump stood before the UN where he threatened to “annihilate” Iran and “drive them into hell”, threatening to slaughter Iran’s 90 million people.
It was followed by a threat to use the US’s “unmatched military might” to cause Cuba to “fail".
Such words, or their like, have never ever been heard before by any President, unless the 1930s return when another mentally deranged dictator took to conquering the world.
I say this because a renowned US psychiatrist, professor, ex-Yale and Harvard Medical Schools, and author of Best Seller, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, is again raising alarm bells of Trump’s threat to both America and the world at large.
Now Trump is far more dangerous than previously when she and 35 other esteemed mental health professionals sent a letter to Congress that reached this conclusion: “Donald J. Trump is mentally unfit to be United States President and steps to remove him from office must be undertaken urgently.”
That letter detailed: “Objectively observable signs of serious medical concern” regarding Trump, two more acute recently: “severely impaired judgment and impulse control” and “significant loss of self-control”.
Furthermore, in a “moment of anger, impulsivity, or even confusion, he could, as Commander-in-Chief, launch nuclear weapons without anyone able to countermand it, nor demand it be checked.”
It is even more chilling after Trump’s boast: “I don’t need UN international law. Only thing that stops me is my own morality and my own mind.”
Shortly after this Trump launched the Iran war without even making the case to fellow Americans or to Congress.
He literally began a war on a whim, now lasting seven months unendingly and costing thousands of lives - mainly Iranian civilians - and billions in US dollars.
Now his threats are even more demented and psychiatrists comment: “Trump can destroy billions of lives in an instant, so dangerous because of his position of mighty military power” and we fear that “upcoming mid-term election will be the most dangerous in US history”; also much down to “his fragile mental state and inability to tolerate criticism” as highlighted in his recent banning of journalists from the White House.
Is there any limit, to whatever helps keep Trump President?
