A coffee morning fundraiser in Somerset has helped raise more than £1,000 for charity.
Lentells Chartered Accountants raised a total of £1,189.30 for Macmillan Cancer Support through its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning events, held at its offices in Chard, Taunton, and Seaton.
Edward Paull, director at Lentells, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with the amount raised this year and would like to thank everyone who supported our Macmillan Coffee Mornings.
"The generosity shown by our staff, clients, local community, and the many businesses who donated raffle prizes has been incredible."
The total surpasses last year's figure of just over £700 and marks the company's most successful Macmillan fundraiser to date.
Guests enjoyed homemade cakes, fundraising games, and a firm-wide raffle, with all proceeds going towards Macmillan's vital work supporting people living with cancer and their families.
A key factor in this year’s success was the strong backing from local businesses, who contributed a wide range of raffle prizes.
Items donated included vouchers, experience days, attraction tickets, food hampers, sporting memorabilia, and other prizes that helped make the raffle one of the highlights of the event.
Businesses who supported the fundraiser included Numatic, Forde Abbey, Thatchers, Jenny’s Café, Sacred Sisters, Haynes Motor Museum, Barlett Park Garage, South-west Karting, Taunton Rugby Club, Nothe Fort, Cook Way Auto Service Centre, Evershot Bakery, 1610 Chard, Silk and Cells, and Gone Dotty.
Lentells thanked everyone who contributed to the Macmillan Coffee Morning, which helped make it a success.
