A festival in the South West is set to light up the region with more than 80 events celebrating the wonders of the night sky.
More than 2,500 people are expected to attend this year’s Exmoor Dark Skies Festival, which takes place across Exmoor National Park, home to some of the best in the UK.
Exmoor was designated an International Dark Sky Reserve in 2011 by Dark Skies International in recognition of its low light pollution, clear skies, and ongoing commitment to protecting the nocturnal environment.
Julie Colman, festival organiser, said: "Exmoor’s Dark Skies Festival is about having fun, trying something new and being inspired by the wonder of the night sky.
"With a fantastic range of experiences for all ages, it’s a brilliant opportunity to connect with nature, it’s a brilliant opportunity to connect with nature, learn something fascinating and make lasting memories under some of the country’s darkest skies.
"Events are popular and places are limited, so book early to avoid missing out."
