CHILDREN from Crowcombe and Stogumber Primary Schools said a fond farewell to head teacher Anthea Deane this week.
Mrs Deane left after ten years at the school and will take over as manager of Halsway Manor, the national centre for traditional folk music and dance.
Both schools came together for a special assembly and the children performed a variety of songs and activities.
The children were joined by parents past and present, staff, school governors and friends of the school and presented Mrs Deane with a variety of gifts including a garden seat, trees, plants, garden ornaments, and a patchwork quilt which incorporated handprints made by the children.
