A TAUNTON man will be hitting the water for a mammoth charity challenge.
Steve Swan will be rowing his self-built sculling boat 150 mile up the Thames from Lechlade to Greenwich to raise money for the SSAFA Forces Help.
The challenge will take five days and Steve will set off on May19 and hopes to raise as much cash as possible to support past and present servicemen.
Steve said: “Never in my lifetime have our servicemen seen so much active service, it has made me aware of how much they sacrafice and saying thank-you isn’t always enough.”
