ACTIVE youngsters in Taunton got on their bikes this Easter for a cyclo-cross event at the town’s Castle Sports Centre.
The multi terrain cycling event was held as part of Somerset County Council’s Go Ride scheme to introduce children to different aspects of cycling.
As well as cyclo-cross, children tried BMX riding and indoor track racing, visiting a host of tracks and courses in the area.
It is hoped the scheme will encourage young people to take up a range of cycling activities before the London 2012 Olympics.
