IF there is anyone in the Yeovil and South Somerset area who has always wanted to do a skydive - here is your perfect opportunity to fulfill your ambition.
The National Kidney Federation is looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to take part in their Skydive weekend in April next year to help them continue to support patients in your area suffering from kidney failure, a life threatening condition.
The good news is that the Skydive will be FREE if you raise enough sponsorship.
In the UK, there are approximately 44,000 people suffering from kidney failure, a life threatening condition, where the patient must rely on dialysis or a transplant to keep them alive.
Approximately 7,000 patients are awaiting a kidney transplant, in contrast, only approximately 1900 kidney transplants are carried out each year.
Unfortunately dialysis is not a long term solution and a transplant is not a cure, throughout this journey renal patients face many problems and issues.
The National Kidney Federation, a charity which is run by patients, supports patients in your area with a local patient support team, providing advice, information, practical help and support as well as understanding, reassurance and a listening ear.
The NKF is also working to help increase the number of transplants carried out, helping save thousands of lives each year, as well as working to improve treatment and provision.
So if you would like to make a thrilling skydive from 10,000 feet or an exhilarating solo jump from 3000 feet, give the National Kidney Federation a call on 0115 9312533 and they will send you a full information pack and everything you need to take part in the experience of a lifetime.
