ON Friday October 2, the Wine Club meeting was held in Stoke St Mary. The show dance on September 26 was a great success. Trophies were awarded to members who produced the best wines of 2009 and these were shown at the Taunton Flower Show. Supper followed, prepared by ladies of the committee and members. It was a sumptuous meal.
The speaker was Terry Baillie, who gave an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable talk on cheese making and what wine to drink with it.
Coffee and biscuits were served.
