THE new Salvation Army community hall on South Street, Taunton, has been officially opened.
Taunton Deane Mayor Bob Bowrah, Taunton MP Jeremy Browne and national representatives of the Salvation Army were among the guests at the event.
Mr Browne said: “The Salvation Army makes an active contribution to the life of Taunton Deane.
“The new Taunton Salvation Army community hall is a very impressive building. It is located near the town centre and I am sure it will prove to be very popular with a wide range of religious and community groups.
“Captain Sue Camp-Richards and her team deserve congratulations for putting a huge amount of effort into getting the new hall built.
