TAUNTON’S Somerset College hosted an staff development day for 30 tutors from further education colleges across the South West.
The event, which took place in the higher education textiles and fashion studios, was organised to promote the college’s textiles and fashion degree programmes, including the BA Hons Surface design, Interior Textiles, Fashion Textiles and Fashion and the foundation degree in Spatial Design.
Imelda Hughes, qualification manager and course leader for textiles and fashion, said: “This was a great opportunity for tutors from South-West FE colleges to find out as much as they can about our specialist degree programmes and take part in practical workshops.
“It means that they can give their students the excellent advice about where they might go to study their degrees and progress their careers in the Textiles and Fashion Industry.”
