SPORTY learners at a Williton school are toasting success in a top county athletics competition.
Two teams from Danesfield Middle School competed in the County Indoor Athletics finals at Strode College last week.
The under-13 girls took second place behind Stanchester, with the boys finishing a respectable fourth, with only 16 points separating first and fourth.
Year 8 pupil Christy Twine said of the event: “Although it was very competitive there was a really friendly atmosphere. Everyone was very nice.”
Harry Chinn was selected to represent Somerset in the South-West final following a superb performance on the day.
