WATCHET’S 1st Sea Scout Troop was given a boost this week thanks to the Royal Navy Association.
The young members were visited by Ted Saunders of the Norton Fitzwarren RNA, who presented them with £50 towards their funds.
The Norton Fitzwarren Branch donated the money to the troop as they are one of only 101 recognised by the Royal Navy due to the type of training and activities on offer.
Five members of the troop enjoyed two days training on a yacht, experiencing deeper water sailing and navigation.
The scouts will be raising more funds this Saturday by washing cars in the Swain Street car park between 9am and 12noon.
