PORLOCK and Minehead tea and coffee merchant DJ Miles is defying the recession and continuing to expand the business.
After four decades of trading, D J Miles and Co has joined forces with businessman Colin Barrell to open a store in Taunton.
Managing director Paul Marsh said: “We can, in all modesty, say we are a successful company, but there are still thousands of people in the area who have no idea who we are, what we do and what we produce.
“Shoppers are undoubtedly still feeling the effects of the recession but all the evidence shows they are concentrating their food spending on quality and value for money, which is what we have always been about.”
