POLICE have launched a summer road safety campaign to encourage motorists to think safety.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary's Road Policing Unit will be targeting key locations throughout the force area with round-the-clock roadside checks.
Chief Inspector Tony Oliver said: "Motorists can expect to see police conducting roadside checks throughout the force area during July.
"We will be using Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology as part of the campaign, which helps us to target more effectively the vehicles we stop.
"Checks will be conducted throughout the day and night at locations where we have intelligence to suggest we may find certain offences being committed."
