The winners of the Packet Battle of Trafalgar schools art competition, sponsored by Barclays Bank, have been announced.
The winners are: Senior Schools - First, Pool School and Community College; runners-up, Falmouth School and Pool School and Community College
Primary Schools - First,Germoe C P School; runners-up, Archbishop Benson School (Truro) and Veryan Church of England School
The first prize winners each receive £1,000 to be used towards the purchase of classroom materials. The runners-up each receive £200. A further £200 in total will be used to reward individual pupils who worked on the entries, making £3,000 in prize money altogether.
The entries were judged today by Terry Lambert, editor of the Packet, and Emma Hale and Stuart Slade, from the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, where the entries are to be put on show.
