A BODY found off the Fal Estuary this afternoon (Friday, July 9) is thought to be that of missing Falmouth man Raymond Dinsmore.
Falmouth coastguard responded to a report from a yacht two miles south of the Fal estuary of a body in the water. The body was recovered and brought to Falmouth by the RNLI.
A police spokesman said: "The initial description of the deceased does seem to fit the missing man but we stress the body has not been identified yet."
Mr Dinsmore, age 79 suffers from acute Parkinson's that results in confusion. He went missing some time between 10pm July 7 July 7.50am July 8 from his home address in Cliff Road.
Raymond is described as being a white male, 5' 11" tall , very little greying hair. He is thought to be wearing dark grey pants and a dark blue spotted pyjama top. He normally walks with sticks but is mobile without them.
