BOGUS door-to-door canvassers have been trying to make collections on behalf of the Westcountry Ambulance Services NHS Trust in Taunton Deane.
A Trust spokesman said: "These people have absolutely no connection with the Trust. The public are urged to report any canvassers of this sort to the police on 0845-4567000 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
"Representatives of the Trust always carry ID, and any member of the public may check these credentials by contacting the patient advice and liaison co-ordinator on 01392-162585."
